Interesting times are certainly ahead. A new release is the Amazon Tablet. The new Amazon Kindle tablet or whatever the name will finally be is set to be released in 2011. Sources from component manufacturers tied to Quanta, according to this source have leaked news that Quanta, a Taiwanese Tablet manufacturer will be releasing the new Amazon Tablet PC as soon as the second half of 2011, and I can’t wait.

With news that the Kindle 4, Kindle reader, is going to be out this year too, and it seems that it will be a color Kindle and possibly have touch screen elements too, this is certainly going to be a dramatic change to the market. Finally, a rival for the iPad 2?

The Kindle was sold at a loss for years to allow the sales of e-books to be the main income source for Amazon and with the amount of video streaming and apps that can be sold after the release we can be sure that it is going to blow the iPad 2 price out of the water.

Amazon is a great company. I am looking forward to the release of their tablet.
For YEARS I point blank refused to buy an Apple iPod for all the usual reason, now I have four. However I bulked at iPad one and two despite the slight price drop. I also waited to buy an ereader and then I spotted the Kindle 3 and have never looked back. If Amazon can(and I think they can) bring the same value and experience to a Android tablet, then I’m there – Where do I sign up?

I have an iPad but I would love to see a promising tablet from Amazon. I love the company, love their service and I think that tablets are nothing but awkward computers without the robust ecosystems behind them. I love my iPad, but without apps, iTunes and cloud based services it would be very limited. To me that’s the limiting factor in the tablets of other companies. It’s just like buying an ereader. You have to know the company is going to have a robust supply for you to take advantage. My only concern about Amazon, is the rumor that they won’t have cameras for video chat. I don’t know if that is just limited to the smaller device which would be forgivable, or on the bigger one which would be suicidal as far as I’m concerned.
Please, send me all about “hollywood” and “coyote”. I´m waiting for them.
