We have had a little more news just recently concerning the Amazon tablet, and it now seems that one of the new releases is going to be a color Kindle tablet. It sure can get a little confusing so let’s take a look at what now seems very likely to be released this year.

It seems that as far as the Amazon tablet is concerned we are going to be getting two releases for 2011. If we want to buy a color Kindle tablet then it is going to be one of these releases.

We all thought that we were going to be seeing two tablets and a new Kindle this year but the most likely outcome is two tablets only.

The cheaper and smaller tablet is set to be known as the color Kindle and the larger is going to be the more mainstream Amazon tablet.

A cheap color Kindle tablet is not going to be a Kindle as we currently know it. Rather it will be touch screen and offer a full color display. The battery length is never going to be as good as the black and white (well, shades of grey) Kindle 3 but it will offer a much more versatile and interactive display.

Will people buy a color Kindle tablet?

We think the answer to this is a resounding yes. If it is cheap enough and the battery lasts long enough then there will be hordes of people who will buy this option. Many who own the Kindle 3 are crying out for a color display and if the price is close enough to the current Kindle then it will sell extremely well.

This does all get a little confusing so really we will just have to wait and see just what we do actually get in the end. But it does make sense that the new color Kindle is actually to be a tablet, it will make it very versatile but the one drawback is going to be just how long it can be used for before it needs to be charged. We shall just have to see.
